Judge partially dismisses suit against Ashland Parks & Recreation

A workplace discrimination lawsuit against the Ashland Parks and Recreation Department has been partially dismissed, with claims outside the statute of limitations to be removed. The judge ruled plaintiff Laura Chancellor, who worked for the department for 18 years, may refile an amended suit.

An emergency severe weather shelter will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the city of Ashland has announced. The shelter at Pioneer Hall, 73 Winburn Way, opens each night at 5 p.m. starting Monday, Nov. 28, with lights out at 10 p.m.
