Three volunteers sought to join board members and community members to review annual budget

The Ashland School District is looking for three volunteers to serve on its Budget Committee.
The committee, made up of all five school board members and five community members at large, meets two to three times each spring to review and recommend the annual budget for the next school year.
There is currently one opening to fill out a term ending June 30, 2026, and two openings for terms ending June 30, 2027.
Requirements for the positions include the following:
- Must be a registered voter in the Ashland School District;
- Must have established residency for a minimum of one year; and
- Must not be an officer or employee of the Ashland School District.
Applications are due by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13. Email applications to

If applying by letter, include your name, address, telephone number, reasons for interest in serving on the budget committee, and references, along with your qualifications for the appointment.
