Willow Wind student Emma Robison was one of 13 Oregon students selected

An Ashland sixth grader who attends Willow Wind Community Learning Center was one of 13 Oregon students to win a statewide art contest that saw more than 1,700 entries, according to a news release.

Emma Robison’s artwork was selected for the Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom’s annual Calendar Art Contest, submitted by students in kindergarten through sixth grade in public, private, charter, and homeschool education settings.

“The entries received celebrated Oregon’s diverse agriculture with artwork depicting a wide variety of Oregon’s 220 agricultural commodities,” the release said.

Robison’s artwork featured a pumpkin and sunflower farm, and is featured on the October page of the calendar comprising all finalists’ works. She received a $50 award and certificate.

Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to helping students grow in their knowledge of Oregon’s agriculture, environment, and natural resources,” the release said.
