Celebration of life for Diarmuid McGuire to be held Sunday

Gathering begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at Thalden Pavilion at The Farm at SOU

A celebration of life for Diarmuid McGuire will be held Sunday, Sept. 17, at Thalden Pavilion at The Farm at Southern Oregon University.

McGuire, 80, died Feb. 5. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, McGuire for many years ran Green Springs Inn & Mountain Cabins with his wife, state Rep. Pam Marsh (D-Ashland) and their four children.

“Please join us to celebrate the life of our friend, father, husband, neighbor, partner, innkeeper, advocate, rabble-rouser, fill-in-the-blank” reads an announcement posted on Marsh’s Facebook page.

The celebration is due to get underway at 4 p.m. at 155 Walker Ave., Ashland.
