A celebration of life service for Ed Hultz will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the First Baptist Church of Ashland, 2004 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Hultz, 65, died Jan. 10.
A memory scrapbook will be made at the service, so attendees are asked to think of a memory or story to share. Special photos to share or add are also welcome.
Obituary: Debra J. Wilson, a longtime Ashland resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 27, at Celia‘s House Hospice in Medford. Her memorial and green burial was held Thursday, Oct. 3, at The Forest Conservation Burial Grounds, Willow-Witt Green Burial Area.
Obituary: Ramona Ann Bounds had a zest for life and left an impression on all who had the pleasure to meet her. She was an avid gardener, Elvis Presley fan, rock hound, world traveler, and for many she was simply “Nana.”
Obituary: Jean Morgan proved to be the brightest, most supportive, encouraging deeply loving person. She was well known for her work in special education and made valuable contributions as an elementary teacher in the Medford school district. There will be a service to celebrate her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at First Presbyterian Church in Ashland.
Obituary: Pierre Andre Fournier died Sept. 3. Pierre became Papa to seven grandchildren and Great Papa to three. Pierre was known for his wild sense of humor and incredible tenacity.
A staff recommendation to demolish instead of repair the Community Center will we discussed at the Ashland City Council study session meeting Monday, while the council business meeting Tuesday will include a review of funding for the water treatment plant.

Ashland councilors Gina DuQuenne and Dylan Bloom on Wednesday gave Southern Oregon University students a lesson in how to express mutual admiration even while disagreeing. The councilors met with 15 students at Britt Hall to discuss voting, Ashland-centered topics and how to bridge the communication gap between the SOU campus and Ashland.
