Program includes ‘State of the City’ address, volunteer awards and city staff Q&A availability

The city of Ashland’s annual town hall, including an address from the mayor, presentation of awards and availability of members of city staff to answer resident questions, is set for Wednesday at Southern Oregon University, the city has announced.
The town hall is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Rogue River Room of Stevenson Union at SOU. Free parking will be available in SOU Parking Lot 36 on South Mountain Avenue.
The evening will begin with the State of the City address from Mayor Tonya Graham, followed by presentation of the James M. Ragland Volunteer Spirit Award and the Alan C. Bates Award.
City staff will be available to answer questions on topics such as Ashland Fiber Network, conservation, emergency preparedness, Parks & Recreation and wildfire mitigation, according to the city announcement.
