Branch closed until April 24 while HVAC system is replaced

Ashland library patrons won’t be able to go into the facility for most of April during a scheduled heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system replacement, but they can still pick up on-hold materials at the door, according to a news release.

Front door service will be offered at the Ashland Public Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., through April 23. Patrons will be able to pick up materials from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday., the release said.

Staff will not be able to accommodate “real-time requests” for materials. Mobile printing will be available, and Wi-Fi will be available outside the library for those wishing to access it.

The library’s main level will reopen Monday, April 24, though the upper level is scheduled to remain closed until mid-May, when the project is scheduled to be fully complete. Patrons may still request materials from the collections housed upstairs, but will not have access to browse the collection. Public computers will be temporarily set up on the main level with a 30-minute time limit.

During the closure, patrons may also visit any of the other 14 branches within the Jackson County Library District. The closest branches include Talent, 101 Home St., Talent, and Phoenix, 510 W. First St., Phoenix. Patrons may also contact the Ashland library at 541-774-6980 if they want to temporarily transfer their holds to another branch.
