Smokey Bear and members of Ashland Fire & Rescue will also be available at the event, according to the release. Education about the city of Ashland’s new Community Connect software, smoke detectors and other avenues for preparedness will also be available.

Admission is free at the Saturday, May 18, event at, ScienceWorks Hands-On museum, 1500 E. Main St. in Ashland. The “day of fun and learning adventures” begins at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Space is limited for the build-your-own air filter activity.
