AI and ETs: From ChatGPT to the Stars by Paul Hynek

Most people have now heard of ChatGPT and the other popular Artificial Intelligence applications available to almost anyone now. But how could AI be related to UFOs and ETs? Are people using AI to find aliens?

Could aliens, especially the iconic “Grays,” actually be AI alien sentinels? Is Humanity’s future post-biological?

In this fascinating lecture and slide presentation, Paul Hynek discusses all this and more and presents his theory as to why, one way or another, AI WILL become self-aware and recursively self-improving within 20 years, or maybe much sooner!

Paul Hynek is a businessman, educator, and public speaker with decades of successful experience in finance, technology, cryptocurrency, and entertainment. He currently works with numerous startups as either a Board member, advisor, or part-time CFO.

Paul is the son of noted astronomer and pioneering UFO researcher and author Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who advised the US Air Force on the matter in the 1940’s-50’s, and later developed the UFO “Close Encounter” classification system.

Paul is a Wharton MBA, an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Finance at Pepperdine University, and the creator of startup financial projections software that has raised more $1 billion for thousands and startups. He has significant executive, finance, software, and high-tech experience in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Paul was involved in the making of Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Tintin, Real Steel, Warcraft, The Hobbit, Halo, Call of Duty, and numerous other movies and games. Paul led the successful acquisition of Giant Studios’ ownership of its renowned virtual production motion capture software, and was instrumental in Giant’s sale to James Cameron for Avatar 2-5. Paul was a consultant on HISTORY’s “Project Blue Book” about his father’s research into UFOs for the United States Air Force, which starred Aidan Gillen from Game of Thrones. He was the Technology Consultant on “Mayne vs. Shark” which was Discovery Channel’s big Shark Week special in 2019.

He conceived and produced Surf Monkey, the world’s first children’s online service, and introduced it with Bill Gates at the launch event for Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. Paul has worked with the leading virtual and augmented reality companies, in both content creation and distribution, and helped USC incorporate virtual reality into their stroke recovery technology.

Paul is very active in cryptocurrency – he has been working very closely with David Chaum, the creator of the first digital currency, and has been an advisor to XYO for several years.

Paul is a sought-after speaker, having emceed, keynoted, moderated, and spoken at Mensa, South by Southwest, Harvard, Wharton, Raw Science, BIL, Brink, METAL, and numerous other technology and startup conferences and events. Paul will speak anywhere in the world, in any language, given two months’ notice.

He has significant Board experience, serving on several corporate Boards and Advisory Boards, and has 15 years of nonprofit Board experience, nine years as Chair. Paul is a grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation. He has lived in Asia and Europe, is fluent in French, capable in Japanese, and speaks some Mandarin, Thai, Portuguese, and Spanish. Paul has the most documented success in history at reversing his age, as published in Aging Cell Magazine in a study under the aegis of the Stanford Neuroscience Institute, and was featured in a television documentary in December, 2021.

Paul has a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of Business, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania’s Joseph H. Lauder Institute, and a BA in French from the University of Illinois.

SOU to host first Red Cross blood drive on campus in nearly two decades

After a 17-year hiatus and amid a strain on the nation’s blood supply, the Red Cross is returning to the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland this week for a two-day blood drive.
