All Things Leaves

Recology will host three free community leaf collection events this autumn, with two in Ashland and one planned for Talent.

Participants can drop off their leaves from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 10, in the Ashland police parking lot, 1195 E. Main St., Ashland. Talent’s event is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Talent City Hall, 110 E. Main St., Talent.

The events are for residents of Ashland and Talent only. Commercial landscapers are not permitted. Participants may be asked to provide proof of residency and should plan to take their emptied leaf bags home with them.

The leaf collection events are intended to reduce community fire risk, maintain storm drain health, and provide nutrient-rich leaf donations to local farmers. Anyone interested in receiving leaves can contact Recology Ashland’s senior waste zero specialist Jamie Rosenthal by calling 541-890-6111, or by email at [email protected].
