Ashland World Music Festival: SoundWalk

A curated, self-guided interactive audio/visual experience that weaves together the music from artists around the globe with visual installations of all types of art by local artists.

Audio is:

Available for streaming from 6 a.m. Friday, May 26 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 29 on the RWM website, www.rogueworldmusic.org/awmf. Available for streaming via the Echos app for a curated listening and viewing experience. Route coming soon. Maps of the SoundWalk route are available online for downloading and printing, and on brochures in the Ashland Chamber of Commerce office.

Level Up: Airing differences, bridging gaps

Ashland councilors Gina DuQuenne and Dylan Bloom on Wednesday gave Southern Oregon University students a lesson in how to express mutual admiration even while disagreeing. The councilors met with 15 students at Britt Hall to discuss voting, Ashland-centered topics and how to bridge the communication gap between the SOU campus and Ashland.

Photojournalism tips from a professional

Bob Palermini, professional photographer, will give a presentation about photojournalism at the Southern Oregon Photographic Association meeting on October 15 in Medford. He studied photojournalism in college and has been a photographer for Ashland.news since shortly after it debuted in January 2022.
