Book Talk by Russel Low

Book Talk by Dr. Russel Low celebrating Oregon’s early Chinese American history.

Teenager Low Sun Fook came to America 150 years ago with a blank journal, a fortune teller scroll, and a burning desire to become an American. He encountered anti-Chinese laws and attitudes, but formed unexpected lifelong bonds with Salem’s community. His book, “A Willow Becomes a Forest ‘ will be available for purchase and the proceeds funds nursing scholarships for the CSUSM School of Nursing.
