2025 is the 5 year anniversary of the Almeda and South Obenchain Fires that devastated much of Jackson County. This year, Butte Falls Volunteer Fire and Rescue will honor first responders and community resilience at the Butte Falls Firemen’s BBQ on Saturday, August 9 from 11a to 3p. So celebrate with Butte Falls – a small, resilient community deep in the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest. Escape the heat and the downtown bustle on Saturday, August 9 at the 2025 annual Butte Falls Volunteer Fire and Rescue BBQ. Tender, juicy tri-tip, grilled chicken, Jeff’s Famous Beans, sides and much more will tantalize your taste buds at just $17 a plate.
After a glorious groan of satisfaction, pick up a 2025 Butte Falls Volunteer Fire and Rescue commemorative t-shirt, enjoy games, a silent auction for a custom hunting knife and other items, then dance to the tunes of Southern Oregon’s hottest new band, The Torpedoes. At 2600’ elevation, Butte Falls has spectacular views of Mount McLoughlin and is cooled by forest breezes and fed by natural spring water. The event is a benefit, raising funds for a second and very needed Type 3 Wildfire Engine.
