In this workshop you will learn one of several various hand-building techniques to create functional pottery: slabs, coils, pinch pots, and more.
Cost includes instruction, clay, and bisque-firing. By completing this workshop, you will be eligible for Handbuilding Open Studio in the Ceramics Department at Talent Maker City.
If you make something at this workshop that you want to keep, here’s what happens next:
- Your piece will be dried and bisque-fired. This usually takes 2-3 weeks.
- TMC will contact you to let you know your piece is ready for glazing.
- You can sign up for one of our Stop, Drop, n Glaze workshops to receive instruction and glaze your own piece.*
- If you are unable to take a glaze class within four weeks of your class, we request that you take your bisqued pieces home to free up space in our studio.
- TMC will give it a final firing and call you to let you know it’s ready to be picked up.
You will enjoy (or get a kick out of) what your hands have made!
