Energy Horizons: Preview Screening and Panel Discussion

Join JCLS and Southern Oregon PBS for a preview screening of the first episode in the upcoming documentary series, Energy Horizons: Exploring Oregon’s Energy Future, followed by a Q&A with series Director Keegan Van Hook, Videographer Tripp White, and Producers.

Brought to you by the team behind Us As We Are, this six-part series takes us on a journey to understand the importance of energy, climate change and resource depletion, along with potential solutions underway across Oregon. The show takes us across the state, exploring current successes in renewable energy, frontier technologies in development, and the challenges around energy storage and transmission. Big project draws big crowd — Ashland Mill open house well-attended

More than 60 people turned out for a look at the proposed Ashland Mill mega-project during an open house Wednesday night at the Historic Ashland Armory. Planned on the former Croman Mill site on 60-plus acres of the city’s southeast side, what’s now known as the Ashland Mill project represents the largest development proposal in the city’s history, with more than 550 housing units and 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial spaces, as well as pathways, small parks and open spaces.
