A Picnic for Pollinator Pals is a fantastic way to celebrate National Pollinator Week and support your local pollinator protectors – PPRV – at a fun and educational event designed for the entire family!
This first annual “FUN”-Raiser for Pollinator Pals, PPRV’s youth education program, takes place Saturday, June 21st from 4-7 p.m. at Arpeggio Vineyard and Sunflower Farm (3578 Pioneer Rd, Medford). National Pollinator Week is June 17 – 21, 2025 and this event will be a great way to round out the week and enjoy some family time. The benefit features an age-appropriate sparkling beverage and a catered farm-fresh meal from Chef Tom Griest and Farm Bus Bistro. Also on site for the afternoon will be live music, games, puppets with Jerry Allen, a pollinator garden and farm tour, microscopes, interactive pollinator activities, and more!
Limited tickets are available, and tickets are on sale only until Friday, June 6th. Adult tickets are $40 and $20 for children, and include a farm-fresh dinner, beverages, and lots of activities & fun! Tickets can be purchased on PPRV’s website at www.pollinatorprojectroguevalley.org/pollinator-pals.
All proceeds from this fun-raiser support PPRV’s Pollinator Pals Program. The Pollinator Pals team is led by Ethan Robison, PPRV’s Pollinator Pals Education Coordinator, along with Eduardo Tovar, Community Educator, and a team of experienced educators and community members who bring their passion for knowledge and diverse experiences to the program. Their goal is to spark interest and passion in youth to learn about our local native plants and pollinators and to inspire our community to be caretakers and changemakers for our local food systems and ecosystems.
Pollinator Pals develops hands-on lessons and activities developed for Oregon Science Standards. Focused on the local ecology and conservation, lesson plans support a variety of settings – from the classroom to after-school or weekend adventures with a group.
The Picnic for Pollinator Pals event is sponsored by Arpeggio Vineyards, Farm Bus Bistro, ZCS Engineering, Inc., Phoenix Industrial Studios, Jacksonville-Applegate Rotary, Baobab Press, Jan Boggia, Indigo Creek Outfitters, and Gabriela Chavarria.
