‘Israelism’ at the Varsity Theatre

The film “Israelism” will be screened from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at the Varsity Theatre, 166 E. Main St., Ashland.

Event organizers are asking for an $8 donation for anyone wanting to attend, discounted to $6 for students and seniors. The theatre has 120 seats.

The film tells the story of two young American Jews who grow up loving and supporting Israel. After traveling to Israel and Palestine, they join a generation of American Jews calling for Israel to end the occupation and blockade.

One of the filmmakers will be present for a Q&A following the film.
