Juneteenth “Crystallizing Our Call” celebration picnic

“Ancestor’s Future: Crystallizing Our Call”, by Micah Blacklight, was brought to the community by the Say Their Names Collective’s community voting process; informed by the Ashland Public Arts Committee’s knowledge of city policies and regulations; voted in by the broader Rogue Valley Community; and the winning finalist was decided by a panel made up of Black Rogue Valley community members.
The piece has been officially accepted and supported by the City. The Ashland Parks Foundation is the proud fiscal sponsor of the project! Tax deductible donations can be received!
NOW it is up to us, the community, to come together in JOY and rally the funds to actualize the piece in its material form! Come out, meet the artist, Micah Blacklight, enjoy your community and be a part of making Ashland history.
