Meet Heather Ames, Oregon Author

Author Heather Ames discusses her Ghost Shop mystery series, set in Salem and the Willamette Valley, from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at Bloomsbury Books, 290 E. Main St., Ashland.

Ames will have copies of the first two books in the series available for purchase (“Tapped By Fate” and “Tread Softly”) plus “Indelible,” Book 1 of her Swift/Roberts mystery/suspense series, and “Night Shadows,” a standalone suspense.

Heather also plans to bring cookies. That should seal the deal for anyone who might have doubts that Heather can deliver a fun and informative hour speaking about subjects as diverse as how to identify tainted wine by various rank odors and how driving a police car around the training course that teaches Green Bay, Wisconsin officers the finer points of cornering at high speeds enhanced her ability to write white-knuckle car chases.
