The Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission and the Southern Oregon Japanese Association (SOJA) will host a one-year anniversary celebration of the renovated Ashland Japanese Garden from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in Lithia Park.
The event is open to the public.
SOJA will demonstrate the art of origami, there will be a bonsai tree display, and Dobra Tea will serve freshly brewed Japanese teas. Volunteer docents will be on site to answer questions and provide info about the history and meaning of the garden.
