Oregon Poet Laureate Anis Mojgani will perform from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Plaisance Ranch, 16955 Water Gap Road, Williams.

The event is free and open to the public. Mojgani is the author of five books, a two-time National Poetry Slam champion, and a one-time World Cup winner. He’s been called a “geek genius,” with a style that is lively, heartfelt, thought-provoking, and entertaining.

Anis will be joined by musician-writer Nick Jaina, an Oregon Book Award finalist who also recently composed music for the documentary “Elemental.”
