Playwriting Workshop – Ashland New Plays Festival

Join us for our annual playwriting workshop! Host playwright will be Clarence Coo, joined by winning playwrights Minita Gandhi and Keiko Green for this this year’s exclusive festival workshop. This writing-intensive workshop features insights, in-class writing time, and a few tips and tricks from the playwrights, helping you take the next steps in your own writing journey!

All writers are welcome, whether you usually write plays, poetry, non-fiction, or fiction; are a seasoned writer or are just starting out. There’s room for everyone at our writers’ table.

The workshop is free for ANPF members and students or $25 for non-members. If you need access to lower pricing, please email [email protected] for registration assistance.

Big project draws big crowd — Ashland Mill open house well-attended

More than 60 people turned out for a look at the proposed Ashland Mill mega-project during an open house Wednesday night at the Historic Ashland Armory. Planned on the former Croman Mill site on 60-plus acres of the city’s southeast side, what’s now known as the Ashland Mill project represents the largest development proposal in the city’s history, with more than 550 housing units and 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial spaces, as well as pathways, small parks and open spaces.
