Raising the Dead: An Overview of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy

Are you interested in how DNA is being used in criminal investigations and what is next? Then join us on April 15 for Raising the Dead: An Overview of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy. After a short member meeting, presenter Wendi Babst will give an overview of the process of Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FIGG). She will discuss some examples of where this process has been used to solve long cold cases. She will also cover legal and ethical considerations surrounding the use of FIGG and some of the recent advances in this exciting field.

Cost: Free for all.

RVGS Members do not need to register, either join us for the watch party at the RVGS Library or join via Zoom. Non-members may also watch via ZOOM but must see our website to register for the link.
