Ranked Choice Voting Outreach Skills Training

Ranked choice voting is on the ballot in Oregon this November, and RepresentUs will be on the ground talking with voters all throughout 2024. If you’d like to join us in talking with others about ranked choice voting here in Southern Oregon, this training is for you!

Come learn about ranked choice and connect with other volunteers and our 2024 Oregon organizer while sharpening your outreach skills and hear about opportunities to talk with voters in the coming months.

About ranked choice voting:

Ranked choice voting is a simple improvement to our elections that gives voters the option to rank candidates in order of preference: first choice, second choice, third choice, and so on. If a candidate receives more than 50%, they win – like any other election. If not, the candidate with the fewest votes is defeated and ballots are instantly counted for a voter’s next choice until there’s a majority winner.

Ranked choice voting gives us more meaningful choices on our ballots and more power to vote for candidates we actually like, and allows candidates to run without fear of splitting the vote.

About RepresentUs:

RepresentUs is a national non-partisan organization working to unite people across the political spectrum to pass laws to make sure that government addresses the needs of people, not special interests. Learn more about us at represent.us.
