Resistance Wine Company presents: NACHO Average Wine Club

LET’S CLEAN OUT THOSE CELLARS

What Is This?

You’ve got bottles lurking in your cellar. Weird gifts. Dusty regrets. Wines labeled “Save for a Special Occasion”… but maybe that occasion never came. Join Resistance Wine Co. for a laid-back, flavor-packed evening where aged bottles meet gourmet nachos. This small-scale event brings together retired collectors and curious new enthusiasts for wine sharing, laughter, and a little bit of cheese.

This is it.

Bring a bottle you’re ready to part with, stick a funny label on it (like “Leftover from my divorce” or “Pairs well with poor decisions”), and share it with the Resistance community.

What to expect:

Funny bottle label station: “Pairs well with grandkids” or “Best served on tax day”
DIY Nacho Bar: Yes, there will be wine-pairing tips. No, we won’t judge your jalapeño-to-cheese ratio.
Tasting & Story Time: We’ll crack open bottles progressively. If your wine has a backstory, share it. If not, just say it “tastes like closure.”
The Crowd Favorite: Before you go, cast your vote in the “Favorite Bottle of the Night” poll. Glory awaits.

Who should come?
Wine lovers with a sense of humor.
People who need an excuse to open “that bottle”
Anyone who thinks cheese is a food group.

Sen. Merkley wows an overflow crowd in Ashland

Sen. Jeff Merkley packed the Ashland High School gym Sunday for a town hall that highlighted his fight against “authoritarian” efforts by the Trump administration. About 1,200 filled the gym, while a line of people outside stretched two blocks and were too many to fit inside, according to Merkley aides. It was the largest audience of the town halls held by Merkley this year, the aides said.
