Nov. 8th, at the Bellview Grange in Ashland from 5-8PM: Celebrating Our Kinship with the Natural World, featuring fine dining by Curtis Paul of Agora Artisan Eatery, a performance by Playback Theater Northwest, and music and dancing with Blue Lightning.

Riding Beyond offers free equine-assisted healing and growth groups for people suffering from long-term challenges of breast cancer, COVID, wildfires and other environmental trauma. Since 2013 we have served over 600 women in our free 4-week intensive Spring and Fall programs. Additionally, our weekly meditation circles with the horses, and 4 Saturdays at a local ranch offer the benefits of the horse/human connection to the general public. Riding Beyond’s mission has grown to meet many of the challenges of recent times by exploring much more deeply our kinship with the natural world. We are funded solely by donations from individuals within and outside our community, as well as businesses and foundations.
The evening will begin with Playback Theater Northwest taking the stage and offering a unique performance: audience members are invited to share moments and stories from their lives, and see them enacted spontaneously by trained actors. Those actors include many faces familiar to Rogue Valley residents, such as members of the original and current Hamazons and other improv groups. Be thinking about stories or healing experiences you have had in nature, and perhaps your story will be enacted.
Following the theater performance, enjoy food with a Cajun flair prepared by chef Curtis Paul. His restaurant Agora Artisan Eatery is in downtown Grants Pass.
After filling your belly with good food and your heart with soulful connection, kick off your shoes and dance to longtime favorite all-women dance band, Blue Lightning. A silent auction will be available throughout the evening.
