Riding Beyond September sessions start

Riding Beyond, a Rogue Valley nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide free interactions with specially trained horses to breast cancer survivors, has several openings during September, according to a news release.

You can view a nine-minute video about Riding Beyond’s services at ridingbeyond.org. The website contains a wealth of information from the standpoint of volunteers and participants, including research.

Four weekly three-hour sessions, held either Tuesdays or Wednesdays, start at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Little Creek Ranch, 2900 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.

In the course of a year, Riding Beyond offers free spring and fall four-week sessions to breast cancer survivors, Saturday monthly sessions May through September for the general public, and weekly meditation circles with horses to the general public throughout the year

Community meeting set in Talent on frequent Pacific Power outages

Pacific Power has organized a meeting in Talent to discuss power outages that have plagued the city this summer.
