Rogue Suspects (Live in Talent, OR)

The Rogue Suspects have been Southern Oregon’s premier musical act for eighteen years. Whether appearing with or behind rock and rolls who’s who, or gracing the most prominent stages in the area, the Suspects have earned the honor of being named The Rogue Valley’s favorite band over and over again.

Vocalist Shae Celine has appeared at OSF and the Cabaret Theater, has toured with Jefferson Starship’s Craig Chaquico, and legendary producer Narda Michael Walden.

Keyboardist Don Harriss has toured the world with Ronnie Hawkins, Pat Travers and Lydia Pense, and Cold Blood. Don’s solo efforts top the Billboard charts for Adult Contemporary albums.

Guitarist Dirk Price is a lifelong musician and music educator. This Dick Grove School of Music graduate toured the world before settling in Southern Oregon to concentrate on running one of the most advanced online music schools in the country.

Bassist Greg Frederick is the consummate sideman. Monterey Jazz and Blues Festival alumnus, Greg has played alongside of some of rock and blues greatest musicians. He is well known in the region as the producer of some of the area’s top benefit shows, raising money and awareness for great causes around the world.

Drummer David Bolen has been the go to drummer in Southern Oregon for twenty years. The beat behind the Suspects is also well known author.

Percussionist Mary Rydman, the latest addition to the Suspects, brings great texture to the band’s unique sound.

Bill Thorndike Jr. remembered as community titan, treasured friend

Family, community members and longtime friends of Medford native Bill Thorndike Jr. were collectively at a loss for words over the weekend at the sudden loss of a man they say had a hand in nearly anything good to happen in Southern Oregon for much of the past half-century. Thorndike, 71, suffered a heart attack early Saturday morning, just following a Valentine’s Day spent with his wife, Angela Thorndike, at a family cabin on Whidbey Island in Washington’s Puget Sound.
