Step into the Circle at our Spring Gather ‘Round!

Free live music and dancing during the May Ashland First Friday Artwalk! Join Rogue World Music and Malinka World Music Collective for a lively evening of Eastern European diaspora music and dance.

A special invitation to circle dancing is facilitated by Sophia Blanton, RWM’s Macedonian-born folklorist and World Dancer.

RWM Gather ‘Rounds are free participatory music & dance events. We showcase music and dance instruction by local or visiting culture-bearing artists. All dance experience levels are encouraged to kick up their feet, and all ages are welcome to this world music community gathering!

SOU alumni director Mike Beagle, 63, dies unexpectedly

Southern Oregon University announced Monday that its longtime alumni relations director had passed away. Mike Beagle, 63, who served in his role at SOU since 2012, passed away unexpectantly over the weekend due to what SOU President Rick Bailey described as a “hiking accident.”
