The Rotary Club of Ashland will host its annual Easter egg hunt event at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20, in Lithia Park near the pickleball courts.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the hunt starts promptly at 1 p.m.
The hunt, when has been ongoing for 60 years, typically draws hundreds of children. Candy treats await the young participants, as do a dozen special golden eggs that can be traded in for special prizes.
There will be no hard boiled eggs in this year’s hunt, due to high prices and the ongoing national egg shortage, but plenty of plastic eggs filled with treats will be available.
Participants will be separated into five age-appropriate sites so everyone gets a fair shot at snagging plenty of treats. There will be sites for children two years old and younger (parents may accompany children at this site), 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds, 7-year-olds and 8-year-olds, and 9-year-olds and 10-year-olds.
