Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Show

The Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral society presents our 68th Annual Gem and Mineral Show.

Vendors from around the region are offering a wide variety of rough-to-finished rocks and specimens, as well as artisan made jewelry. There will be live demonstrations by our members in lapidary arts and rock identification. Kids events; door prizes; raffles; member display cases and MORE!

We’ll host a public auction Saturday evening after the close of the Show at 5:30 p.m., with high-end specimens. All proceeds from the Gem and Mineral Show go to benefit the care and keep of the Crater Rock Museum as well as the Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Society. Please leave your pets at home! No pets are allowed.

Level Up: Airing differences, bridging gaps

Ashland councilors Gina DuQuenne and Dylan Bloom on Wednesday gave Southern Oregon University students a lesson in how to express mutual admiration even while disagreeing. The councilors met with 15 students at Britt Hall to discuss voting, Ashland-centered topics and how to bridge the communication gap between the SOU campus and Ashland.
