Schneider Museum of Art Opening Reception for Fall 2024 Exhibition

Join the SMA on Thursday, October 17 from 5-7 pm for the opening of our fall exhibition, Disguise the Limit: John Yau’s Collaborations. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served, and wine will be generously provided by RoxyAnn Winery. Artist John Yau and curator Stuart Horodner will be in attendance. The exhibition will be on view through December 14, 2024. New Masterworks on Loan and Highlights of the Permanent Collection will be on view in the Entry Gallery.

About the Exhibition:
This exhibition marks the first comprehensive exploration of the collaborative works of poet, author, and art critic John Yau. For the past five decades, Yau has partnered with a diverse array of visual artists, creating an extraordinary collection of paintings, mixed media works on paper, print portfolios, artist books, and letterpress broadsides. Through these collaborations, Yau has demonstrated his deep commitment to exploring the myriad forms poetry can take, reflecting his belief that “I’m into every way a poem can be done.”
