SOHS Hanley Farm’s Harvest & Scarecrow Festival

Join Hanley Farm’s Harvest & Scarecrow Festival, held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22, at Historic Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point.

Make a scarecrow to protect your family from the “witches, ghosties, and ghoulies” who prowl your fields and gardens Halloween night! Scarecrow making kits will be available for $20 ($15 for SOHS members.)

There’s a special category of “Oregon History” scarecrows this year. Make a scarecrow that represents a character from Oregon history and enter it in the “Director’s Feature Award” contest. Choose a historical character and dress your scarecrow in appropriate clothing. You’ll need to bring your own outfits and accessories for this contest. Special prizes will be awarded for these special scarecrows!

Enjoy the other family-fun activities, including pumpkin painting, apple bobbing, cider making, children’s games, and more!

Tour the historic Hanley House, featuring the SOHS quilt display. Learn about the property and Hanley family. Donations for house tours are greatly appreciated.
