The SOU Chamber Ensembles present a saxophone and clarinet “REVOLUTION” spring concert.

“Revolution” will feature a range of captivating music by acclaimed composers Marc Mellits, William Hurlstone, Pierre Max Dubois, Eugène Bozza, and Becky Turro. This concert promises to be a stunning showcase of woodwind artistry, with performances by talented student ensembles, including the Saxology saxophone quartet, the [Reedacted] Clarinet Ensemble, the Coloratura Reed Quintet, and the wind piano trio Forza. The concert is under the artistic direction of SOU Professor of Music, Rhett Bender, a renowned saxophonist and teacher.

The Coloratura Reed Quintet and Forza wind piano trio will showcase their virtuosity and musicianship, delivering dynamic and engaging performances. The [Reedacted] Clarinet Ensemble and Saxology The saxophone quartet will also move the audience, demonstrating their passion for music. The program features Thaw by Becky Turro, a stunning composition that captures the essence of a changing landscape.
