A relic of the Apostle, St. Jude, will travel from the Vatican to the U.S., and will be available for viewing starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 517 W. Tenth St., Medford.
It is the first time the relic, the arm of St. Jude, has left St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome since the 13th century, according to a news release. Public veneration begins at 2 p.m., with a special Mass in St. Jude’s honor at 7 p.m. Public veneration concludes at 10 p.m.
