Join our summer interpretive ranger, Meaghen O’Rourke, as she leads us to view this hard-to-find waterfall behind Grizzly Peak! The hike is two easy miles. The road is gravel but doesn’t require a high clearance vehicle. We will likely be back earlier than 3 p.m.
We will meet at 9 a.m. at the Rite Aid in Ashland, located at 2341 Ashland St., and make our way into the Monument from there. Please bring water, snacks and a lunch. Hiking boots are recommended; your shoes are likely to get a bit wet.
Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument serves as a public interface for the local Bureau of Land Management. We are a nonprofit organization, and our mission is to advocate, educate, conserve, and protect the Monument.
Our programs are designed to introduce the public to different topics about and locations within the Monument. They are co-created with local scientists, historians, artists, students, and more.
