In ways large and small, compromise is offered as a way to get through conflict. Meeting in the middle is looked at as fair. But how does this really work? What kind of things can we compromise and what can we not? Who wins when the powerful ask the oppressed to compromise? When is compromise unfair and even a lose/lose proposition?
