Swing Dance Festival this weekend with live bands, guest instructors

Local swing dance instructor Wendy Tanner has organized Rogue Valley’s First Annual 3-day Swing Dance Festival weekend, set for May 3, 4 and 5 in the Ballrooms of Ashland Hills Hotel.

It features a range of skilled local swing bands hosting dances, including Bathtub Gin Serenaders and Band du Pays Swing. Dance Workshops in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Collegiate Shag and Solo Jazz offer novices an opportunity to start learning and experienced dancers a chance to add to their repertoire. These classes will be taught by highly respected dance instructors, including guest teachers from Eugene, Eureka, and Sacramento.
