“The Jackson County Rebellion: A Populist Uprising in Depression-Era Oregon”

Jeff LaLande will be at Bloomsbury Books to read from (and signing copies of) his new book, “The Jackson County Rebellion: A Populist Uprising in Depression-Era Oregon” (Oregon State University Press, 2023.)

Jeff’s deeply researched book narrates this dramatic political episode in local history — one that gained national attention, both for its intense turmoil and for its violent outcome. Some readers may be struck by the parallels between this event and more recent developments in American politics.
