A symposium to inform SOU students and the wider community about the threat posed to humankind by our current intention to replace our nuclear arsenals with new, more deadly weapons systems at the cost of $1.7 trillion tax dollars.
Speakers include Kevin Martin, president of Peace Action, the nation’s largest grassroots peace organization, and Maria Udalova with Students for Nuclear Disarmament.
There will be an emphasis on what individuals can do to address this threat. Lunch will be served.
An RSVP by April 15 would be helpful but not required. Register at Event Brite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1308704052049?aff=oddtdtcreator or leave your name and contact information at at Peace House: 541-482-9625.
