Anima Mundi Productions presents the reunion of the legendary Uptown String Quartet. As ambassadors of the African American musical tradition, the women of this revolutionary string quartet share a lifelong dedication to expanding the horizons of concert music.

Praised by The Washington Post for their “delightfully eclectic” repertoire, the Uptown String Quartet have performed in famous concert halls, taught at prestigious universities, and played on Hollywood soundtracks (including a recent appearance in the 2019 Tom Hanks film, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.)

As they passed a microphone between each other, their conversation challenged the concept of a soul. The deep existential dive came on the first night of the Approaching AI Summit, the second year of an artificial intelligence (AI) summit in Ashland.
