Unity Community of Ashland Presents Gary Zukav June 2nd

Unity Community of Ashland will present New York Times bestselling author Gary Zukav on Sunday, June 2nd, at the 11 am service. Services are held at the Havurah, 185 N. Mountain Ave.

Gary is a master teacher, dedicated to the unprecedented transformation in human consciousness — an entirely new threshold in the human experience.

For years Gary has conveyed the most complex insights in language all can understand. Over and over, he challenges us to see the depth of our potential in the world.. and act on that awareness. His gentle presence, humor, and wisdom have inspired millions to realize their soul’s greatest potential.

In 1979, The Dancing Wu Li Masters: An Overview of the New Physics plumbed the depths of quantum physics and relativity, winning the American Book Award for Science. In 1989, The Seat of the Soul led the way to seeing the alignment of the personality with the soul as the fulfillment of life and captured the imagination of millions, becoming the #1 New York Times bestseller for 31 weeks and remaining on the New York Times bestseller list for 3 years. In 2000, Gary wrote Soul Stories, another New York Times Bestseller, and then co-authored two more Bestsellers with his spiritual partner Linda Francis, The Heart of the Soul: Emotional Awareness (2002) and The Mind of the Soul: Responsible Choice (2003).

In 2007, he wrote Soul To Soul: Communications from the Heart, and in 2010 his revolutionary book Spiritual Partnership: The Journey to Authentic Power revealed the profoundly new relationship archetype of partnership between equals for the purpose of spiritual growth. His latest book, Universal Human (2021), guides us toward a human species beyond even the emerging multi-sensory human species.

Gary will be speaking on “How To Use Your New Consciousness”. Rev. Kathy Zavada, spiritual leader at Unity Community of Ashland, will be providing meditation and music. Special musical guest Daniel Sperry will be sharing music and poetry. Don’t miss this very special offering by Unity Community of Ashland, located at the Havurah, 185 N. Mountain Ave.

Bill Thorndike Jr. remembered as community titan, treasured friend

Family, community members and longtime friends of Medford native Bill Thorndike Jr. were collectively at a loss for words over the weekend at the sudden loss of a man they say had a hand in nearly anything good to happen in Southern Oregon for much of the past half-century. Thorndike, 71, suffered a heart attack early Saturday morning, just following a Valentine’s Day spent with his wife, Angela Thorndike, at a family cabin on Whidbey Island in Washington’s Puget Sound.
