What Makes a Cheese?
November 5 @ 3:00 pm
Free
Have you ever wondered what makes a Cheddar different from a Swiss? (Hint: it’s not just the holes.)
Many cheeses we’re familiar with in the grocery store start with the same basic ingredients, so what about the cheesemaking process results in such a wide range of flavors, textures, and smells? Jackson County Library Services invites you to sample a variety of artisan cheeses while learning about the science and culture that contributes to making them truly distinct.
For dietary considerations, all cheeses provided will include dairy and will be vegetarian friendly, most will be produced from cow’s milk.
This program is free of charge. Register today at: https://jcls.libcal.com/event/10906442
