Work For The Rogue

The Rogue Basin Partnership’s Work for the Rogue event is set for 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Bear Creek Park, 1520 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford.

The event is a meet and greet with restoration groups, intended to bring them together with job service providers, such as Rogue Workforce Partners and Work Source Rogue Valley, and job seekers. The event will also celebrate restoration work at Bear Creek Park and offer outreach to families.

There will be food, educational activities for children, games, and a Bear Creek walking tour.

The event is sponsored by Rogue Community Health.

Southern Oregon University announced Monday that its longtime alumni relations director had passed away. Mike Beagle, 63, who served in his role at SOU since 2012, passed away unexpectantly over the weekend due to what SOU President Rick Bailey described as a “hiking accident.”
