Spirituality can be defined as energetic connection, linking everything

By Charles “Al” Huth

Life itself may be a mystery. My goal is to live in harmony with it.

A busy life can interfere with finding the time and generating the motivation to contemplate what your life is all about. A question regarding who you are, meanwhile, may occasionally enter your awareness.

Charles “Al” Huth

We identify ourselves by describing what we do. I am a father, teacher and writer. Yet these descriptions do not reflect the core of my true existence. If I am not aware of my true self, then my ability to reach my full potential is impaired.

Understanding who we are in terms of science and spirituality is of utmost importance. Each of us has a body that is energetically connected to the mind, the two functioning as one entity — a duality that cannot be separated.

The words spiritual or spirituality require a clear definition because they constantly produce various interpretations. When I use these words I am referring to the energetic connection between everything. Spirituality and energetic connection, therefore, share the same meaning for me. From a spiritual perspective, all that we think and do is energetically linked to everything without separation.

Physicists observe that everything is energy, and everything is connected by energy, which leads to the crucial concept of Oneness. If I only thought of myself as a collection of body parts, it would be difficult for me to understand my purpose for being, beginning with how and why I function.

Energetically, humans have an intimate relationship with the planet. On a physical level, after all, the elements that constitute one’s body are commonly found on Earth. Now consider the mind as its own energy, itself a component of our spiritual makeup! One might wonder why this is important. One answer lies in observing our internal guidance system, or what is commonly referred to as our conscience and intuition, manifesting at times in muscle response or gut feelings. I believe that most of us rely on this network without acknowledging it or its source — for it is ingrained in us. We do not question that migrating birds intuitively know how and when to fly to their appropriate location.

Humans tend to rely on ever-advancing technology, as well as other people, for information and support. Yet the best source of human guidance lies within oneself. Our intellectual capacity (left brain hemisphere input) has a narrow focus, whereas our internal guidance melds together conscious mind, subconscious mind, left brain input, right brain input and the passions of the soul, providing us insight as to our next step. In other words, our guidance system is more comprehensive and adaptive than one’s solely intellectual focus. Though exact destinations may remain elusive in our ever-shifting environments, intuitive guidance offers all humans daily paths that can be implicitly trusted.

Entanglement is a term used in physics to describe the following: When a separation between matter occurs, an energetic connection throughout time and space remains. As an example, studies have shown that when a blood sample is taken to another location and the donor is put under stress, signs of the stress will instantaneously show up in the blood sample regardless of location. Just think about the implications here for your life and your understanding of your evolving nature. Consider that:

  • You have an energetic connection with your loved ones who are no longer physically on the planet.
  • You maintain an energetic connection with those who are now or had previously been an obstacle in your life.
  • You are the beneficiary of the knowledge possessed by your ancestors.
  • You can request information energetically from anyone, anywhere.
  • Your legacy will energetically extend into perpetuity.

Using clear and precise definitions is important when communicating with yourself and others.

State your intentions clearly. Here are some transformational suggestions for a daily practice to engage that will assist you to live as your True Self:

  1. Know yourself with insights from physical science and metaphysics — spirituality.
  2. Focus on building an absolute trust in your internal guidance system.
  3. Commit to a daily transformation practice to function as your true self.
  4. Identify and pursue your soul’s driving passions.
