Rogue Valley Times staff report

The parents of 15-year-old Medford teen Ava Wall reported her missing Friday night.

Ava is described as 5-foot-6, 120 pounds, with blue-green eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing light blue jeans and a brown puffy jacket. The teen was last seen in the Coleman Creek Road area west of Phoenix between 8:20 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Friday. She is believed to possibly have left with an unknown adult.

Family members reported to law enforcement that a witness who lives on Coleman Creek Road reported seeing a grey sedan with flashing hazard lights in the area at the time Ava left her father’s home nearby. The witness described a male driver and a young girl in the front seat. The car drove away when the neighbor approached to ask if help was needed.

Family members report Ava was without her cell phone but may have had access to an older phone, only usable via Wi-Fi, and that was previously used for Snapchat communication. Ava left a note stating that she was leaving with “a trusted adult,” but family members say no trusted adult has been identified and they are concerned for the teen’s safety.

Anyone with information, sightings, or security footage from the Coleman Creek Road area between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, 541-774-6800, and reference case No. 26-2700, or contact the family, 541-531-0440, immediately.

Aaron Lewis, public information officer with the sheriff’s office, told Ashland.news Sunday that the case is classified as a runaway situation and that an investigation is ongoing.
