Swing and rock trio is on tour from Portland

Megan Alder & the Woods perform at Oberon’s Restaurant in downtown Ashland from 7 to 9 pm. Saturday, Feb. 4.

Megan Alder & the Woods is a power trio on tour from Portland. Fronted by singer/songwriter Megan Alder, the group performs original swing and rock music, perfect for dancing and inspiring joy, according to an event announcement. The Woods are touring their latest release, Dark Side, throughout the Pacific Northwest this year.

The show is free and open to all ages. Oberon’s is at 45 N. Main St., fronting the Ashland Plaza.

Daniel Collay, who had been serving as a member of the Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, has been hired as the group’s new executive director. He previously served as the operations manager of the Willow-Witt Ranch, located near Grizzly Peak.
