Obituary: Suzanne Voulgaris

Suzanne Voulgaris will be remembered at a celebration of life ceremony Feb. 24 at Bell Fiore Winery.

Feb. 9 1938 — Feb. 8, 2024

Suzanne Voulgaris, age 85 years, passed away Feb. 8.

She was born Feb. 9, 1938, in Niagara Falls, New York, to Seelye and Helen (Cornell) Nagel. She married Ted Voulgaris, who survives.

Suzanne had worked in human resources and later as an assistant vice president in local banking.

There will be a combined celebration of life ceremony for Suzanne and her best friend Geneva Ing, who passed Feb. 4. The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Belle Fiore Winery, 100 Belle Fiore Lane, Ashland. 

Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The city of Ashland has opened a comment window seeking public input on the potential to allocate portions of federally awarded funds to renovations at 2200 Ashland St., according to a release from the city. The city of Ashland could reallocate $112,112 to support renovations at the 2200 Ashland St., such as the installation of a sprinkler system, fire egress modifications, laundry shower and additional restrooms, the release said.

Ashland School Board sets value range of soccer field proposed for development at $1.745 to $2.25 million
