Flurries of beefy snowflakes briefly blanketed Ashland houses, yards and streets Saturday morning, before melting away as swiftly as they came. A brighter day is just ahead, as forecasts call for clouds to decrease Sunday, but it’ll be hold-on-to-your-hats Monday evening as high winds are expected to blow into town.
Daniel Sperry, who often plays the cello in Lithia Park, plans to spread the joy by funding a musician in Ashland and another in Des Moines, Iowa, hoping to expand the idea around the country and around the world.
Wildfire risk reduction and a climate action plan topped the list of priorities adopted Tuesday by the Ashland City Council. The council unanimously approved three main priorities for the 2023-25 city budget that also included economic development and affordable housing.
