PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ashland Planning Commission will hold a hybrid public hearing at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Council Chambers at 1175 East Main Street on September 27, 2022. The Ashland City Council will hold a hybrid public hearing and First Reading of the Ordinance at 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Council Chambers at 1175 East Main Street on November 15, 2022. The public hearings will be regarding proposed land use ordinance amendments to Title 18 Land Use in the Ashland Municipal Code (AMC) related to the amount of residential units allowed in the Commercial (C-1) and Employment (E-1) zones. The proposed amendments include changes to AMC 18.2.130 Dwellings in Non-Residential Zones, 18.2.6.030 Unified Standards for Non-Residential Zones, 18.3.13 Residential Overly Regulations, and 18.6.1 Definitions.

REQUEST: The proposal includes a series of amendments to the Ashland Municipal Code (AMC) Title 18 Land Use to the residential standards for mixed-use development in the Commercial (C-1) and Employment (E-1) zones

Written testimony will be accepted for the hearing via email to PC-public-testimony@ashland.or.us with the subject line “09/27 Planning Commission Meeting Testimony” by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022. Written testimony received by the deadline, and written testimony previously submitted on this action, will be available to the Planning Commission before the meeting and will be included in the meeting minutes.

Written testimony for the November 15th City Council Public Hearing and First Reading will be accepted for the hearing via email to public-testimony@ashland.or.us with the subject line “11/15 City Council Meeting Testimony” by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14th, 2022. Written testimony received by the deadline, and written testimony previously submitted on this action, will be available to the City Council before the meeting.

Oral testimony will also be taken via Zoom during the in-person public hearings. If you wish to provide oral testimony via Zoom during the hearing, send an email to PC-publictestimony@ashland.or.us by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022. In order to provide testimony at the Planning Commission public hearing, please provide the following information: 1) make the subject line of the email “September 27 Speaker Request”, 2) include your name, 3) the agenda item on which you wish to speak on, 4) specify if you will be participating by computer or telephone, and 5) the name you will use if participating by computer or the telephone number you will use if participating by telephone.
